John Agar searches for the man who gunned down his brother, with a discarded gun his only clue. Along the way he hooks up with macho Mike Conners, an exiled Indian woman, and a snake oil salesman.
If I would have seen `The Flesh and the Spur’ when it was originally released I would dismiss it as a weak western. Seeing it nowadays when westerns are so scarce I cannot help enjoying it. Probably because it has that flavor of the fifties. Mara English is a strong presence, she is sensual and interesting. Also Mike Connors is very good as Stacy Tanner.The film starts when a man runs away from prison and ends up killing John Agar´s brother.As he takes his gun, the rest of the film is about the search of Agar for the gun and the killer. During his search he becomes friendly with Connors and also rescues Mara English who eventually falls in love with him.

Dr. John Holden ventures to London to attend a paranormal psychology symposium with the intention to expose devil cult leader, Julian Karswell. Holden is a skeptic and does not believe in Karswell’s power. Nonetheless, he accepts an invitation to stay at Karswell’s estate, along with Joanna Harrington, niece of Holden’s confidant who was electrocuted in a bizarre automobile accident. Karswell secretly slips a parchment into Holden’s papers that might possibly be a death curse. Recurring strange events finally strike fear into Holden, who believes that his only hope is to pass the parchment back to Karswell to break the demonic curse.

The Woody Woodpecker Show (1957)

Its a crying shame that Woody and his friends aren’t on either Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. But that Woodpecker was the best ever in getting even with characters that were interrupting his beloved home or trying to get even with him like Pete Buzzard, Wally Walrus,or that annoying Gabby Gator. Walter Lantz’ creation was some of the best animated around,and at times very funny,cause that Woodpecker was crazy!!! Still,Woody applied the laughs,and in turn brought out the kid in all of us. One of my best shows ever from childhood. By the way,who can remember that crazy laugh?

Set on a fictitious island in the Carribean during colonial British rule. It focuses on the life of a young charismatic and handsome black male with political aspirations. He finds himself confused on returning home when his romantic liaison with a white female tends to conflict with his political views. As rumor has it an interracial screen kiss caused quite a commotion in the U.S. when the film was released. The plot is further strengthened by a look at the lives of a white ex-pat family also living on the island. The family has to deal with problems of infidelity, racism and murder.

In Paris, detective Claude Chavasse is hired to follow a wife suspected of infidelity with the notorious American libertine Frank Flannagan. When the husband learns that his suspicions are accurate, he tells Claude of his plan to kill Flannagan. Claude’s daughter Ariane overhears the threat and warns Frank of the coming trouble. She then plays the part of a worldly socialite with a list of conquests as long as Flannagan’s. The bemused ladies’ man returns to America the next day and Ariane, completely in love, follows his romantic escapades in the news. She sees him again in Paris the following year, and resumes her worldly guise, telling tales of former lovers when they meet at his hotel in the afternoon. Frank, amazed by the mystery girl and surprised to find himself jealous of her past, hires Claude to uncover more information about her. When the detective realizes what has happened, he asks Frank not to break his daughter’s heart.

Air-borne adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat. A Canadian passenger plane finds itself in trouble. Accidental ptomaine poisoning strikes all passengers that were served baked halibut instead of pork chops. The pilot Captain Bill Wilson(football legend Elroy ‘Crazylegs’ Hirsch) manages to keep control of the plane a bit longer than his co-pilot. The only one on board with remote ability to land the plane is Lt. Ted Stryker(Dana Andrews), who flew fighter planes in WWII. A problem exists with Stryker; he has never lived down losing fliers during the war and hasn’t attempted to fly in ten years. Reluctantly he takes over the plane with his estranged wife(Linda Darnell)as his co-pilot. Other players include: Sterlling Hayden, Geoffrey Toone, Peggy King and Jerry Paris.
